The AMP NETCONNECT next generation Cat. 6A connector AMP-TWIST 6AS meets the global component specification by ISO/IEC 11801 2nd ed. Amd. 2. This offers a lot of benefits to end users, consultants and installers.
1. ISO/IEC is a global standard
In order to ensure that a cabling system meets all globally available requirements, end users and consultants should choose a system based on ISO/IEC component requirements. All application standards like the Ethernet standards from IEEE have referred to and will refer to existing global cabling specifications. Because it exceeds the ISO/IEC Cat. 6A component specifications, AMP-TWIST 6AS is a wise connectivity choice.
2. Headroom
The AMP-TWIST 6AS allows an extrapolated Class EA permanent link according to ISO/IEC 11801 2nd ed. Amd. 2 up to a frequency of 800 MHz. This superb performance is caused by huge system headroom on important transmission parameters like NEXT and Return Loss. This headroom ensures 100 % uptime of the system for the end user and gives installers a margin to meet the required system performance even in performance critical installation environments.
3. No ANEXT testing
The AMP-TWIST 6AS uses high performance shielded technology. As a vital part of AMP NETCONNECT's XGA copper cabling system it contributes to an excellent system coupling attenuation, a parameter specifying the electromagnetic "immunity" of a cabling system. ISO/IEC states that if a Class EA cabling channel exceeds the specified coupling attenuation values by at least 10 dB (in other words it is 10 times better), the ANEXT requirements are met by design. The superior shielding technology of the AMP NECONNECT XGA copper system even exceeds this specification, making ANEXT testing in the field redundant.
4. Short links for Data Center application
Modern data center design often requires very short links between two cabinets. The Alien Crosstalk (ANEXT) parameter is very often the limiting factor that prevents most Class EA systems from meeting this design criterion. The AMP NETCONNECT XGA copper system with the new AMP-TWIST 6AS RJ45 does not have this limitation. Furthermore, it allows very short permanent links of a length < 2 m.
5. "Mix & Match" capability guarantees Class EA channel performance
Class EA cabling systems not featuring connectivity complying with the ISO/IEC Cat. 6A component specification are mainly offered as system solutions including the patch cables.
But in 100% of the cases, not all ports of an installed cabling system are active from day one. 30-50% of the system ports are spare ports which might be activated on request in the future. But what happens if the system patch cords are no longer available? What happens if the purchasing department sources cords other than the system cords?
A mismatch in connectivity between the installed RJ45 Jack and the RJ45 plug of the patch cords can degrade the cabling channel performance in such a way that Class EA channel performance is no longer met. ISO/IEC Cat. 6A component compliant connectors meet the reference implementation definitions of ISO/IEC 11801 and offer 100 % "Mix & Match" flexibility. In other words, AMP-TWIST 6AS works with every Cat. 6A patch cord.
6. Length 
The AMP-TWIST 6AS with its length of 32 mm is one of the shortest currently available RJ45 Jacks. This allows easy and quick integration into even the smallest installation environments without the need to apply performance degrading bend radii to the cable.
7. Quick Installation
Tyco Electronics' engineers have designed some very effective installation practices into the AMP-TWIST 6AS Jack. AWC Technology (Automatic Wire Cutting) removes the need for cutting the cable wires after termination. AWC together with toolless 360° screen termination reduces the termination time for a shielded jack to a value which is even lower than for most unshielded jacks.
8. 3rd Party Tested
The ISO/IEC Cat. 6A component compliancy of the AMP-TWIST 6AS RJ45 has been certified by the German 3rd party laboratory GHMT AG as one of the first connectors offering this next generation performance . The test report confirms the outstanding performance of this new product.
