"Name Change" Frequently Asked Questions
1) Why are you re-branding?
Our new name -- CommScope -- better reflects the products and solutions that we bring to our customers. We are a world leader in providing a full range of solutions that connect and protect the flow of power and data inside millions of products that consumers and industries use every day. Many customers and employees around the world already refer to us by the initials "CommScope," which is why we chose to keep that part of our new name.
2) I am an authorised partner - how does this affect me - what should I do?
There are a series of activities that we are asking our authorised partners to complete as part of this brand change. We have developed an information pack which deals with authorised partner logos, brand guidelines etc. Please contact your local representative and request you information pack through them.
CommScope & ADC KRONE Integration
On December 9th 2010 CommScope announced the completion of the acquisition of ADC Telecommunications Inc.
ADC's go-to-market name in EMEA & APAC is ADC KRONE
The combination of ADC KRONE and CommScope creates an industry leader, with the scope and geographic scale to help customers deliver needed capacity, from the core of the network all the way to the end user.
ADC KRONE has a strong heritage of providing innovative wired and wireless solutions that have enabled the expansion of advanced broadband networks worldwide. As part of CommScope, ADC's ability to serve the world's leading telecommunications services providers and enterprises will be strengthened significantly.
There is very little portfolio overlap. This combination is designed to grow the product portfolio. Our customers can continue to count on the solutions they have previously purchased from both companies.
Both companies have been long been committed to quality products and product lead times that are acceptable to our customers. Neither is expected to change as a result of this combination.
The combined organisation will offer a complete product portfolio across nearly every major geographic market. It will also add ADC's Distributed Antenna System (DAS) products, which will expand CommScope' wireless connectivity portfolio to provide greater mobile coverage and capacity solutions to carrier and enterprise customers as demand for mobile data continues to expand.
Additionally, CommScope will add ADC's professional services organization in the US to its business.
CommScope and ADC have more than 100 years of combined commitment to our customers' quality and high-speed connectivity success. As our two businesses integrate, this commitment will become stronger, resulting in even more innovative solutions for your business challenges.
How will this affect me?
Initially there should be very little difference in the way you do business with either ADC KRONE or CommScope. Your order and contact points will remain the same for the near future
In the background we will be working on integrating systems and processes and we will keep you informed of these as and when they happen - through newsletters and web pages like this
What should I do?
The same as you did before the acquisition. Continue to buy CommScope products through your CommScope channel and f you are an ADC KRONE customer, continue to use your ADC KRONE channel.
Continue to speak to your respective contacts in sales and customer support and continue to visit the websites of the two companies - http://www.ampnetconnect.eu/ and www.adckrone.com/eu for the latest product and application information.

We have an interim logo based on the words "ADC KRONE is now CommScope" (please see latest news regarding Corporate Identify change at the top of this page)
Please contact your local representative who will request the logo is sent to you. If you can add any details of size and where/how it will be used - this will speed up the delivery.

I am a distributor - can I sell both product sets now?
Current contracts continue as they were prior to the close. Further into the integration process, we will be discussing what this combination may mean to our relationship with you.
